We are proud to announce the signature of a 5-year funding agreement between Agence de Protection et d’Aménagement du Littoral (APAL), the local NGO Jlij pour l’environnement marin and The MedFund to support the co-management of the Jerba Ras Rmel Marine Protected Area.
Jerba Ras Rmel Marine Protected Area is the sixth granted MPA in Tunisia where national authorities and civil society will continue working hand in hand to ensure effective day-to-day management of the MPA. Thanks to the financial support of the @Global Environment Facility, a total grant of 287 K USD over 5 years will be used to enhance governance, co-management, stakeholder engagement, scientific monitoring, promoting gender equality and economic activities sustainability.
