\nScheduled from 5:30 to 6:45 PM in Room 3 of the Blue Zone, the event will highlight a decade of impact in sustainable financing for marine conservation.
\nA Decade of actions and cooperation<\/strong>
\nThe first panel will trace the origins of The MedFund, with the participation of high-level representatives from the three founding countries: Monaco, France, and Tunisia. A key moment in this session will be the official signing of a new funding agreement between the Principality of Monaco and The MedFund.
\nConcrete impact at the Mediterranean scale<\/strong>
\nThe second panel will offer a regional perspective on The MedFund\u2019s tangible results. This session will feature voices from MPA managers and civil society representatives from Morocco, Algeria, Tunisia, Lebanon, T\u00fcrkiye, Greece, Albania, Montenegro, and Croatia, showcasing real achievements in climate adaptation, scientific monitoring, co-management, surveillance, local governance, gender inclusion, and more.
\nScaling up towards 2030<\/strong>
\nLooking ahead, the third panel will present The MedFund\u2019s 2025\u20132030 strategy, built around three priorities:
\n\u2022 Consolidate support to existing MPAs to ensure their long-term effectiveness;
\n\u2022 Expand action to 20 new MPAs, including highly protected ones;
\n\u2022 Mobilize new funding to support 40 MPAs by 2030.
\nThis session will give the floor to The MedFund\u2019s technical and financial partners, such as the Global Environment Facility, Fonds fran\u00e7ais pour l\u2019environnement Mondial, Agence fran\u00e7aise de d\u00e9veloppement and private foundations.
